Grant Background Information
The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (帖子) has developed the Innovations Grant Program (显卡). The 显卡 is designed to grant funds on a competitive basis to qualified public and private entities for the purposes of fostering innovations in training and procedures for law enforcement officers, with the goal of reducing the number of officer-involved shootings statewide.
Training and workshops must address issues in one of the five (5) program areas listed 下面.
- Implicit Bias
- Use of Force and De-escalation
- Cultural 多样性 and Awareness
- Community Policing
- Wellness Programs for 法律 Enforcement Officers

Administration of Justice 42 Leadership and Integrity Course
The Chabot College Administration of Justice Department was awarded the P.O.S.T. 显卡 grant based on the ability to demonstrate the need for Cultural 多样性 and Awareness, and Use of Force and De-escalation. A current Administration of Justice Department course, ADMJ 42 Leadership and Integrity, is taught to sworn law enforcement as the training for this grant. 这个P.O.S.T. certified course will address current issues faced by law enforcement and provide tools that will assist in the continual goal of being successful in this profession. Topics included in the course will be centered on self-awareness, interpersonal communication, team dynamics, organizational culture, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and addresses de-escalation skills.
This course will examine the impact of leadership, effective communication and organizational integrity in establishing trust in the administration of justice system. 开始 with initial contact with citizens to adjudication and punishment, this course will analyze the challenges of the complex procedures and processes that impact the legal system and the lives of people. The course will emphasize the importance of ethical behavior and ethical leadership by individuals and organizations as a philosophy. Transfer: CSU
