High Beginning 非母语英语课程

非母语英语课程 210: High Beginning 阅读 (3小时/周)
非母语英语课程 220 High Beginning Writing (3小时/周)
非母语英语课程 230 High Beginning 听/说话 (3小时/周)

In the first level of our program, High Beginning, classes are all noncredit. 那 means classes are free, and students just pay the $33 student fee one time per semester. Students can repeat the courses as many times as needed. We recommend students receive a passing score in all three classes before they move on to the next level. 当学生 pass 非母语英语课程 220, they will be able to register for 110年英语/240A. 当学生 complete the High Beginner courses (非母语英语课程 210, 非母语英语课程 220, and 非母语英语课程 230), they will receive a certificate in basic English.

Low Intermediate and Intermediate 非母语英语课程

110年英语/240A: Low Intermediate 阅读/Writing/语法 (6小时/周)
242年英语: Low Intermediate 听/说话 (4小时/周)
英语110 b/240B: Intermediate 阅读/Writing/语法 (6小时/周)
英语242 b: Intermediate 听/说话 (4小时/周)

In our middle levels, students can choose to take the 阅读, Writing and 语法 classes for noncredit or credit. It is the same class, and credit and noncredit students will be in the same room together. Credit students pay full price tuition for classes and earn credits towards a degree. 当学生 pass 110A/240A, they can register for 英语110 b/240B. 当学生 pass 242年英语, they can register for 英语242 b. Students who complete the noncredit 阅读, Writing and 语法 as well as the 听说话 Class at each level will earn a certificate.

High Intermediate and Advanced 非母语英语课程

非母语英语课程 110C: High Intermediate 阅读/Writing/语法 (6小时/周)

非母语英语课程 15A: Advanced 阅读 and Composition I (6小时/周)
非母语英语课程 15B: Advanced 阅读 and Composition II (6小时/周)
非母语英语课程 16A: Advanced 语法: Sentence Structure (3小时/周
非母语英语课程 16B: Advanced 语法: Sentence Structure and English Verbs (3小时/周)

水平s 4-5 are credit academic 非母语英语课程 classes. 学生支付 full price tuition for classes and earn credits towards a degree. 非母语英语课程 111B is our highest level of listening 和口语. Students in levels 110C and up are eligible for this class, as well as students who pass 英语242 b. Students who pass 非母语英语课程 110C can register for Advanced 阅读 and Composition I: 非母语英语课程 15A. Students must take and pass 非母语英语课程 15A to enter 非母语英语课程 15B; it is not possible to place into 15B from the assessment process. 所有先进的 level students are eligible to take 非母语英语课程 16A and 16B. These grammar classes are not sequential and can be taken in any order. Students who complete level 5 are well prepared for transfer level English 1 class.
